Tony Hawk was born May 12, 1968, nicknamed Birdman; he is an American professional skateboarder, entrepreneur, and the owner of the skateboard company Birdhouse. He is an actor and was also one of the most dominant skateboarders of modern times. Tony started skateboarding at nine when he got his elder brother’s blue fiberglass skateboard. When no one knew that, he became the pioneer of vertical skateboarding in the coming years. He started his practice at the Oasis Skatepark at 12 and did the best movement beyond his age. His mother, Nancy, grew up in the Great Depression. She married Frank after he joined the Navy during World War II.
