At the 2016 World Cup Skateboarding hosted in Tokyo, she competed in the women’s park event, where she finished 29th among competitors. She returned in the 2018 edition hosted in Orange, California, and competed in the bowling event instead, placing sixth. Yosozumi picked up gold at the Asian Games in 2018, and Yosozumi went into the 2019 season, ready for new heights. Sakura took fifth place at the Dew Tour in 2019; she also fought for second place and finished at both International Skateboarding Open (ISO) Nanjing and the World Championships in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Getting second place at the Oi STU Open and then a World title at the 2021 Dew Tour saw her extend her lead on contestant as world-ranked No. 2, near the gap on Japanese teammate OKAMOTO Misugu who hold the top spot.
